AWARD TOUR

I’m excited to share that I’ll be embarking on my very first international art residencies. This new chapter comes as I conclude the Black Carolina Artist Residency, where I’ve spent time developing community-centered design projects in Charlotte’s historic West End. That experience deepened my commitment to using art as a tool for storytelling, history, and connection.

Last year, I had the opportunity to go to Africa, Over the next three months, I’ll be traveling to Asia and South America to study Indigenous cultures and explore how communities express identity, tradition, and resilience. My focus will be on expanding ideas of what art and design can look like in digital spaces — viewed through the lens of Afrofuturism, animation, and storytelling.

And while I’ll be working globally, my roots remain firmly in Charlotte. Alongside these new explorations, I’ll continue developing community design projects at home — building bridges between local stories and global perspectives. This journey is both a continuation of my work and an opportunity to imagine new possibilities for art that connects culture, technology, and community.

Heres a sneak peak at my latest works in storytelling.
